ArtIkebana: A basic introduction to the art of Japanese floral arranging

About this experience
You will learn the traditional techniques that make this art form so unique & therapeutic. Create your own to take home and enjoy. This adult class is offered by Trellis Horticultural Therapy Alliance based in Decatur, GA as part of its community education series called "Out in the Garden with Trellis". Ikebana, the Japanese art of flower arrangement, is a practice rooted in tradition and harmony. Join this intro class led Shirley Kendrick, a master of Ikebana with over 20 years of experience and training. Whether you’re a beginner or have prior experience, you’ll learn the traditional techniques and philosophy, and experience a connection to nature that will calm the mind and body. As an added bonus, traditional Japanes tea and snacks will be served. Each registered guest will create their own arrangement to take home. All supplies and plant materials are provided.
